Panini Select is once again heading to the pitch with a new Premier League release for the 2024-25 season. Known for its glossy chrome stock, tiered base cards, and colorful parallels, Select remains one of the most visually distinct products in the soccer card market.

The base set and tiers

The set features 250 total cards, but Select breaks them down into three unique tiers. Terrace cards form the foundation and are the easiest to find. Mezzanine adds more scarcity and a fresh design, while Field Level is the rarest of the three. Each tier carries its own look, creating variety even before parallels enter the picture.

Parallels are a major draw. Every hobby box comes with 14, and nine of them are serial-numbered. Options include Silvers, Honeycomb short prints, Orange Ice out of 155, Pink out of 99, Tie-Dye out of 25, Gold out of 10, and Black one-of-ones. Tessellation, numbered to 15, stands out as one of the toughest pulls of the year.

Autographs and relics

Autographs and memorabilia continue to be at the heart of the product. The Signatures series spans both current stars and legends of the league. Autographed Memorabilia cards go further by pairing signatures with swatches from match-used kits. For collectors who chase relics on their own, Select Memorabilia delivers more player-worn content across the checklist.

Inserts and case hits

Select also offers a strong lineup of inserts. Equalizers, Select Future, Snapshots, and Unstoppable are among the main themes that collectors will see regularly. Short print inserts provide the extra chase factor. Case hits include Artistic Impressions, Stained Glass, Team Badges, and Visionary, each landing one per case and adding artistic flair that stands apart from the core designs.

Box details

Each hobby box has 12 packs with 5 cards per pack. Collectors can expect three total autographs and memorabilia cards, seven inserts, and 14 parallels. Cases contain 12 hobby boxes.

The release date is scheduled for May 22, 2025. In addition to hobby, retail formats such as Mega Boxes will also bring the set to a wider audience.

Checklist overview

The 250-card checklist stretches across every Premier League club. Terrace runs from #1 to #100, Mezzanine covers #101 to #200, and Field Level closes things out at #201 to #250.

Current stars like Erling Haaland, Mohamed Salah, Bukayo Saka, Kevin De Bruyne, Virgil van Dijk, Bruno Fernandes, and Heung-Min Son headline the checklist. Field Level cards add an extra layer of appeal with big names from the past such as Thierry Henry, Steven Gerrard, Didier Drogba, Sergio Aguero, and David Beckham.

Why it matters

Select has earned a loyal following in soccer because it delivers variety in every box. The tiered base set challenges builders, the parallel rainbow keeps player collectors engaged, and the combination of signatures, memorabilia, and inserts provides depth. The addition of short print case hits ensures that even experienced collectors have something rare to chase.

With its mix of today’s stars, emerging talent, and Premier League legends, 2024-25 Panini Select offers a comprehensive look at English football while giving hobbyists the familiar shine and chase that have made Select one of Panini’s most popular brands.
