Topps Finest is back for its second straight season on the hardwood, and it’s bringing plenty of throwback flavor with it. The 2024-25 Topps Finest Basketball release revives the tiered base set format from the late ’90s, a structure many collectors remember fondly.

Each hobby box includes six packs of 10 cards, with two autographs guaranteed.

Base Set Breakdown

The checklist runs 300 cards, split evenly into three tiers: Common, Uncommon, and Rare. Every tier has a wide range of Refractor parallels — more than 20 for each — and Breakers Delight boxes add even more exclusivity with seven Geometric Refractors.

Rookie cards are once again a big part of the product, with 60 total first-year players scattered across the base set.

Inserts

Finest leans heavily on nostalgia, pulling inspiration from late ’90s designs. Inserts include:

  • Arrivals (30 cards, 1:4 packs)
  • Debut (30 cards, 1:4 packs)
  • Showstoppers (30 cards, 1:4 packs)
  • Finishers (10 cards, 1:11 packs)
  • Centurions (20 cards, 1:54 packs)

The highly sought-after The Man inserts are back as well, landing once in every 480 hobby packs. Common inserts also carry 17 different parallels, making for plenty of chase opportunities.

Autographs

Autograph content spans current stars, rookies, and legends. Finest Autographs and Finest Rookie Autographs headline the lineup, each with 13 different Refractor parallels.

Additional themed signatures include Flashback Autographs and Masters Autographs, also boasting 13 parallels each. Breakers Delight boxes add two exclusives — Electrifying Signatures and Colossal Shots — which come with the Geometric Refractor treatment.
