Upper Deck’s 2024-25 Premier Hockey is once again living up to its name, offering one of the most polished, high-end releases in the sport. This set focuses on quality over quantity — every box feels like an event, packed with autographs, patches, and relics from some of the biggest names in the game.

Inside the Box

Each hobby box holds six total cards, and four of them will feature either an autograph, a memorabilia piece, or a mix of both. Every box includes at least one autographed patch and another standalone autograph. This balance between hits and premium base content is what makes Premier so collectible year after year.

Base Set Breakdown

The main checklist totals 150 cards, split into three clear groups:

CategoryCountSerial Number
Veterans90/299
Greats10/99
Rookies50/399

Each section has Gold parallels (/25 for Veterans and Greats, /175 for Rookies) and Platinum one-of-ones.

Each box comes with two base or parallel cards — typically one from the Veterans/Greats section and one rookie.
Some base cards also have autograph editions (Veterans ~1:4 packs, Greats ~1:125, Rookies ~1:3), and these too can be found in Gold and Platinum forms.

There are also Base Jersey variations featuring patch and premium materials like neckline pieces, making even the non-signed cards feel elevated.

Autographs & Signatures

Premier’s autograph lineup delivers the craftsmanship collectors expect.

  • Acetate Rookie Auto Patch cards return as the showpiece, each numbered to 249 or 99, depending on the player. Parallel tiers include Gold (/65 or /35) and Platinum (1/1).
  • Horizontal Rookie Auto Patch cards also make a comeback, limited to /99 or less, with Gold (/25 or fewer) and Platinum parallels.
  • For established stars, Acetate Veteran Auto Patch cards bring a touch of legacy, each with no more than 49 copies.

Other signature sets include:

  • Premier Focus Auto Patch and Rookie Premier Focus Auto Patch (/99 or fewer)
  • Viewpoints Auto Patch (/99)
  • 2004 Premier Auto Jersey and 2004 Premier Rookie Auto Patch (both /99 or less)
  • First Opus Rookie Auto Jersey (/35) and Grand Opus Auto Jersey (/15)
  • Premier Penmanship Autos (1:5 packs)
  • Old Style Signatures (1:18 packs)

Each set mixes classic autograph designs with modern acetate and foil elements, giving the cards both nostalgia and polish.

Relic & Memorabilia Highlights

Upper Deck always pushes boundaries with its memorabilia cards, and this year’s Premier takes that even further.

  • Mega Patch cards return with massive swatches from chest logos, sleeves, shoulder crests, or commemorative patches — truly centerpiece-worthy cards.
  • The concept expands into Mega Jersey Duos, Trios, and Quads, with limited print runs and visually stunning patch pieces.
  • Premier Dual, Triple, and Quad Jerseys continue the multi-player relic theme, with patch parallels for added chase value.
  • Rookies get special treatment with Rookie Patch-Taculars and Dual Rookie Patch-Taculars, featuring bold logo cuts and patch details.
  • A completely new subset, Premier Pieces, introduces relics beyond jerseys — collectors can find pieces of pants, helmets, socks, equipment bags (each /35), and even skates (/15).
  • Another new entry, Premier Twineline (/25), includes net cords from memorable games in players’ careers, offering a true “game-used” twist.

More memorabilia options round things out, like Premier Attractions Jersey (/99 or less), Premier Gear (/49 or less), Premier Gear Rookies (/99 or less), First Opus Rookie Jersey (/149), and Grand Opus Jersey (/149).

Quick Snapshot

  • Cards per pack: 6 (hobby)
  • Packs per box: 1
  • Boxes per case: 10
  • Set size: 150 cards
  • Estimated release date: October 29, 2025

Box Breakdown:

  • 1 Autographed Patch Card
  • 1 Additional Autograph
  • 2 Memorabilia Cards
  • 2 Base or Parallel Cards

Set Overview

The base checklist covers Veterans (1–90), Greats (91–100), and Rookies (101–150) — all with serial numbering and parallel tiers.

Autographs and relics carry the prestige, but the design and material quality of every card in this set are what make Premier stand apart from nearly every other hockey release on the market.
