National Treasures is back for 2024 and hasn’t lost a step. It’s still one of the biggest, boldest football card products out there, and this year’s edition sticks to what works. Clean designs, giant patches, on-card ink, and a rookie class full of hype make this one a must-rip for high-end collectors.

Each hobby box includes just eight cards, but the hit ratio is off the charts. You’ll find six autographs or memorabilia cards in every box, plus one base card or insert and one parallel. It’s all meat, no filler.

Checklist Structure

Panini keeps things simple, which is part of what makes this product so appealing. The set is built in layers:

  • Base veterans and legends
  • Rookie signatures and RPAs
  • Rookie patch-only cards
  • Inserts and themed parallels
It all adds up to 215 cards in the main set, but the variety within those numbers is what makes it fun.

Base Cards That Actually Feel Important

Unlike most high-end sets, National Treasures doesn’t just toss in meaningless base cards. The ones that show up here are individually numbered and include players worth collecting — from rising stars to guys already in Canton.

Parallels come in multiple flavors, including:

  • Purple, gold, and holo variations
  • Jersey number editions
  • Stars and Stripes
  • Midnight
  • Emerald and platinum
  • One-of-one printing plates in all four colors
It’s the kind of base set that doesn’t feel like a chore to complete.

Rookies Front and Center

This year’s crop of rookie autos and patch autos is stacked. Every card is numbered, and the RPAs come with large swatches and hard-signed signatures when possible. The checklist includes top quarterbacks, playmakers, and a few surprises.

The RPA lineup has all the usual suspects plus wild low-numbered parallels like:

  • Green jersey number versions
  • Stars and Stripes exclusives
  • Premium gold and gold vinyl
  • One-of-ones like brand logos, laundry tags, and NFL Shields
Rookie Signatures follow a similar path with their own batch of parallels and plenty of names to chase.

Big Hits and Booklets

Autograph and relic combos dominate the product. That includes everything from jumbo patches and Colossal Signatures to Elevation Ink and multi-panel booklet cards. You’ll find themed autos with different vibes — some old-school, some modern, and plenty that mix the two.

The booklets are especially clean this year. Sets like Treasured Dual Cuts and Rookie Triple Booklets show off player photos and ink in a way that actually feels like something you'd want to keep on display.

Memorabilia fans won’t be disappointed either. Jersey pieces, logo patches, nameplate chunks, and other oversized relics give the product some serious texture. There’s even Nike swoosh and glove material in the mix.

Inserts With Personality

National Treasures doesn’t overload the product with inserts, but the few that make the cut stand out. Gladiators and Super Bowl Immortality return, both limited print runs that highlight players who left a mark on the game.

These aren’t the main draw, but they bring some style and add depth to the checklist for team collectors and insert chasers.

First Off the Line Version

For those chasing exclusives, the FOTL boxes deliver two extras you won’t find in standard hobby boxes:

  • One Stars and Stripes Rookie Patch Auto numbered to 25 or fewer
  • One Stars and Stripes base parallel numbered to 13
It’s the same box layout otherwise, just with added value baked in for collectors who want a little more edge.
