Panini Black returns for a seventh straight season with the same moody look that made the line a favorite. Boxes are compact and purposeful. You get five cards total and three are hits, one Rookie Patch Autograph, one additional autograph, and one memorabilia card. The other two cards are a base and a parallel, so even a quick rip feels like a main event.

The base set remains a true challenge. The checklist sits at 242 cards with veterans, rookies, and the brand’s signature RPAs supporting the class. Since there is only one base card in every box, finishing the non-RPA portion takes real patience, which is exactly what set builders enjoy about Black. Parallels bring flashes of color back to the dark canvas, and the rare Citrine parallel returns for a third year to anchor the chase.

Autographs are where the brand earns its reputation. Midnight Signatures and Night Light Signatures lean into deep contrast. Shadow Ink frames the autograph without overwhelming the photo. Spotlight Signatures offers both horizontal and vertical layouts, a small touch that makes team or player displays feel cohesive.

Relic content stays on theme and adds variety. Rookie Patch Autographs headline for first-year stars. Blacked Out Autographs push the palette even darker for a dramatic look. Capstones Autographs pair multiple relic windows with ink for true centerpieces. Even the straight memorabilia cards keep the clean design language, so pages built from Black feel like a gallery.

Super short prints return to reward case chasers. Vanta and Smoke Screen are back as SSPs, and they continue to be the cards that light up social feeds when they surface. Texture, contrast, and a heavy noir vibe make them easy showpieces.

If you are planning a break or budgeting for singles, the math is simple. One pack per hobby box, five cards inside, three hits every time. Twelve boxes make a case. The full checklist typically lands close to release, so team and player collectors should watch the lead-up to launch for final confirmations.
