Panini’s Origins Football is back for 2025, offering collectors a mix of eye-catching designs and a blend of the NFL’s newest rookies, established veterans, and all-time greats. The set arrives just before the season begins, making it a timely release for fans and collectors looking for something new.

Hobby boxes come packed with three guaranteed hits: a rookie jersey autograph, an additional autograph, and a memorabilia card. Collectors will also find exclusive formats and specialty concepts available only in hobby configurations.

The base set sticks to the Origins tradition of using bold, abstract backgrounds that stand out immediately. Each hobby box includes two parallels, while international blaster boxes also provide parallels with added rookie-focused Holo exclusives.

Autographs remain a centerpiece of the product. Along with base autograph cards and their parallels, there are themed options such as Dual and Triple Autographs, Star Signatures, and Hometown Inscriptions, which highlight a player’s state roots. One of the most anticipated elements is the start of the Patrick Mahomes Autograph Collection. It begins here with a special card commemorating Kansas City’s 2024 AFC Championship victory, with more installments planned throughout Panini’s 2025 lineup.

Memorabilia cards are just as important to the set. Collectors will see multiple booklet-style cards along with themed memorabilia designs like Rise to the Hall and International Origin, which pair player details with their home country flag and birthplace.

Inserts bring more variety, especially in international blasters. While hobby boxes feature options like Primordal, In The Beginning, and the artistic Blank Slate, international boxes lean heavily into rookies with Start Up, Original Gridiron, Big Bang, and Fons Et Origio, a Latin phrase meaning “source and origin.”

Collectors can expect the following:

Cards per pack: Hobby – 7, International Blaster – 6, First Off The Line – 7
Packs per box: Hobby – 1, International Blaster – 6, First Off The Line – 1
Boxes per case: Hobby – 16, International Blaster – 20, First Off The Line – 16
Set size: 150 cards
Release dates: August 27, 2025 (Hobby) and September 5, 2025 (International Blaster)

Hobby boxes guarantee one rookie jersey autograph, one other autograph, one memorabilia card, two parallels, and two additional cards that could be base, parallels, or variations. International blasters include 14 rookies, 14 base cards, two parallels, and five inserts. First Off The Line boxes come with an exclusive pink or purple rookie jersey autograph, another autograph, a memorabilia card, two parallels, a pink or purple base parallel, and two additional base, parallels, or variations.
