Panini is giving Prizm Baseball a high gloss, set builder friendly release. The Premium Box Set comes sealed with the full 300 card base lineup on Pandora Prizm stock, and every single card is serial numbered to 199. Each box also includes six Gold Pandora Prizms that are numbered to 4. It is a clean, uniform way to lock in an all numbered run for every player on the checklist, then add a handful of very low print golds for your PC or grading stack.

Dutch auction timing

Sales go through a Dutch auction on Panini’s site beginning Monday, September 22 at 12 p.m. EST. Prices start high and drop at set intervals until everything sells. Pick a ceiling in advance, watch how quickly tiers are clearing, and be ready to check out when the number hits your comfort zone.

Why this set exists and who it suits

Completists who usually chase base through hobby, retail, or singles can get the entire run in one shot, and it is all numbered. Player collectors can keep the base 199 in a binder page and use the six box golds as trade leverage toward their favorite names. Investors who prefer consistent surfaces and a known print number get both here, which can help when choosing which cards to slab.

Handling tips for chromium stock

Lay down a clean mat, soft sleeve everything as you go, and use semi rigids or top loaders for any card you might grade. For the six Gold Pandora Prizms, check centering in bright light, scan edges for flecks, and tilt for faint print lines before you decide on submission.
