Panini Select has become a staple across several sports thanks to its flashy chromium finish, tiered base structure, and deep rainbow of parallels. For the second year in a row, NASCAR is back in the Select spotlight. The 2025 edition puts the sport’s biggest names and fastest cars on full display with colorful Prizms, autographs, and race-used relics that tie the cards directly to the action on the track.

Tiered base set returns

The base set follows the familiar three-tier format that Select is known for. Grandstand kicks things off, Pit Road sits in the middle, and Trackside is the toughest to find. Each level is stocked with Prizm parallels that stretch from commonly found refractors to some of the rarest cards in the product. Among the toughest chases is the hobby-only Zebra Prizm, which will be even more difficult to track down when it appears on a Trackside card.

This year’s checklist pulls from all levels of the sport. That means you will see Cup Series champions, Hall of Fame greats, and future stars from the Xfinity Series and beyond. It is a broad lineup that gives collectors plenty of choice, no matter which drivers they follow.

Signatures and memorabilia

Autographs take several forms in the set. Select Signatures provides a wide mix of drivers, offering fans ink from legends as well as current stars. The product also features autographed relics that go beyond the usual swatches. Firesuits, tire treads, and even sheet metal from real race cars are built into the cards, making for pieces that carry a direct connection to the track. These also come with different parallel versions, upping the rarity for collectors who love a good chase.

Inserts with horsepower

Inserts have always been part of the fun in Select, and 2025 introduces two new themes. Numbers puts the focus on iconic driver numbers, a key part of NASCAR identity. Tandem Draft pairs teammates together, capturing the strategy of working side by side during races.

For those who like the rarest of the rare, the Color Wheel makes a return. Bold, vibrant, and extremely limited, it has become one of the crown jewels of Select across every sport it appears in. Expect to see past champions, current stars, and the next wave of young drivers represented.

Hobby box expectations

A hobby box contains 12 packs with 5 cards in each. Collectors can count on two autographs, one memorabilia card, and a dozen Prizm parallels in every box.

The First Off The Line format mirrors the standard hobby box but includes an extra incentive. Each FOTL box has two Gold Power Plaid Prizms, numbered to just 13 copies, which adds an exclusive chase for those who want something beyond the regular release.

Release details

The planned release date is August 27, 2025, with each case holding 12 hobby boxes.

Why it matters

Select has built a reputation for delivering variety. Between the tiered base set, wide spectrum of Prizm parallels, and the mix of autographs and relics, it gives collectors multiple ways to enjoy the product. For NASCAR fans, it means having access to the same kind of high-quality Select treatment that basketball and football collectors have chased for years.

With names from the past, present, and future all making an appearance, 2025 Panini Select NASCAR Racing gives the hobby another chance to bring the speed and shine of the sport to trading cards.
