2025 Topps Finest Football Brings Licensed Finest Back to the NFL
2025 Topps Finest Football marks the return of one of Topps' most recognizable brands to licensed football for the first time since 2015. The release also follows the modern Finest format collectors saw in the unlicensed 2024 version, but this time with full NFL licensing in place. For collectors who have followed Finest across other sports, the appeal is familiar - a tiered base set, colorful parallels, autograph depth, and a checklist built around rookies, stars, and legends.
Topps says collectors can expect two autographs in every hobby box. The product is scheduled to arrive on May 15, 2026.
2025 Topps Finest Football Product Overview
The 2025 Topps Finest Football checklist includes 300 cards and is divided into three base tiers: common, uncommon, and rare. Each tier has its own design and is expected to have its own parallel production runs, giving the set a layered chase similar to the tiered Select style that many collectors know well.
The checklist blends current rookies, established NFL stars, and Hall of Fame names. The common tier starts with rookie quarterbacks and top first-year talent, while the uncommon and rare tiers expand into veteran stars, elite skill players, defensive standouts, and legends such as Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice, Walter Payton, Randy Moss, Tony Gonzalez, Pat Tillman, and Sean Taylor.
Topps also built the set around the kind of insert and autograph mix that has long defined Finest. Several designs lean heavily into nostalgia, while others focus on current players and short-printed chase cards.
