The 2025 Topps Series 1 Baseball set is here, marking the first major release of the new season. This 350-card collection features 17 Dodgers players, including Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, Clayton Kershaw, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto. With a mix of established stars, rookies, and team-focused cards, this set offers something for every collector.

One of the biggest highlights? Ohtani’s standard base card is No. 1 in the set, cementing his place as one of the sport’s most dominant figures. He also appears on three separate league leader cards, making him a focal point for Dodgers fans and collectors alike.

Card Design & Features

The 2025 Topps Series 1 design sticks to tradition with a white-bordered layout. Each team’s logo is placed in the bottom left corner, while the team name runs along the left side of the card. However, the white-bordered lettering can be difficult to read against the multi-colored background.

Another minor issue is the silver bordering around player names, which can make last names harder to see depending on the lighting and angle.

On the back, the design is clean and well-organized, with league leaders highlighted in red ink, a feature showcased on veteran stars like Freddie Freeman and Clayton Kershaw.
