Angel Reese’s Historic Milestone Keeps Her Rookie Cards in the Conversation

Angel Reese might still be finding her rhythm in her second WNBA season, but she’s already left a mark in league history. During a recent matchup against the New York Liberty, the Chicago Sky forward became the fastest player to notch 30 career double-doubles — reaching the milestone in just 42 games. Even in an 85-66 loss, her stat line of 17 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and two steals turned heads.

Reese now holds a place above some of the game’s all-time greats like Candace Parker and Lisa Leslie in terms of double-double pace. That alone has given her growing presence in the sports card world a boost — even if her overall production this season has cooled off a bit compared to last year.

Through eight games in 2025, she’s averaging just over 10 points per game while shooting 35 percent from the field. Her rebounding remains elite, with over 12 boards a game, but the scoring dip from her rookie numbers (13.6 PPG on 39% shooting) has raised some eyebrows among fans and collectors alike.

Despite the statistical slump, her rookie cards have held steady in value. Her 2024 Panini Prizm Silver PSA 10 remains around $100 on the resale market — a modest but stable figure, especially after dipping earlier in May. While that price point trails far behind the red-hot Caitlin Clark market, Reese continues to draw attention for her consistent rebounding and star potential.

Much of the hobby buzz around Reese depends on how the rest of the season plays out. A few strong games — especially ones that mirror her record-setting performance — could push her cards upward again. But if the offensive struggles persist, buyers may cool off.

Still, Reese has proven she belongs in the spotlight, both on the court and in the collecting world. The rest of the 2025 season may determine whether her cards become long-term staples — or just a solid hold for the time being.
