Dave Oliveri of Dave's Sports Cards in Roswell discovered a devastating theft, with display cases smashed and $20K worth of cards stolen–including a sealed box of the beloved 2008 Topps Triple Threads Baseball.

Unfortunately for hobby shop owners in Atlanta area, this is not an isolated incident; similar robberies have occurred throughout the region where thieves make away with thousands within minutes. Last week BT's Sports Card's located just north of Atlanta fell victim to a smash and grab as well, losing $60,000 worth of merchandise. Shop owner is currently piecing together what was stolen so he can inform the community of serial numbers so they can be on the lookout.

Thankfully there are precautionary measures that can be taken to protect stores from such occurrences - although readily available solutions cannot guarantee immunity as these criminals continue test their luck on unsuspecting victims every day.
