1996 Topps Chrome Kobe Bryant Rookie Refractor BGS 10
Our first iteration of the Topps Chrome basketball sets. Featuring a rock solid rookie class and a wonderful eye appeal. Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Ray Allen, Steve Nash all bless the 1996-97 draft class making this one of the most coveted set's of the 90's basketball releases. The chromium premium stock added on top of the regular Topps set, with 220 cards and refractor parallels which were available 1 to every 12 packs produced. Other insert sets included ProFiles, Season's Best and YouthQuakes. Each pack contained 4 cards, with a total of 20 packs per retail box.

This iconic set has helped break some records for sales. In March, 2021 a BGS Black Label Graded 10 Pristine Refractor Kobe Bryant rookie fetched a whopping $1.8 million dollars. As of today, a PSA 10 gem mint regular version of the card has fetched $8,200. Another big recent sale ( May 3rd, 2022 ) is a PSA 10 Michael Jordan 72 Wins Commemorative Refractor, which fetched $16,600 on eBay, and Michael Jordan base cards selling for around $1200 in a PSA 10 Gem Mint holder.

While going through your collection you put together as a child, keep your eyes open for these beauty's. If you are lucky enough to have some in a binder that hasn't been damaged, you may be sitting on some life changing money!
