The Orlando Magic has made major progress in laying a foundation for long-term success. One of the important decisions in that process was using the No. 8 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft to pick up Germany's Franz Wagner. Franz Wagner rookie cards over the last 30 days, have jumped a whopping 120%, and just over 180% for the last week alone.

Wagner, 21 years old, has shown some pretty impressive perimeter skills for a 6"10 forward during his rookie debut season. In 79 games, his average was 15.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.9 assists with 30.7 minutes per game. With an amazing 46.8 percent overall field goal percentage and 35.4% from beyond the arc.

This week during EuroBasket22, he fell short Tuesday against Slovenia and Luka Doncic and his show out putting up 47 points, but the rest of EuroBasket knows Germany is now a force within their tournament. Wagner scored 15 Points in just 12 minutes of play, and didn't play at all during the second half of the game against Hungary, with Dennis Schroder still at the helm, they put a molly whopping on them finishing the game with a 106-71 score.

Now might be a good time to pick up some of Franz's rookie cards, as he has super star potential, as Europe continues to pump out some major names coming to the USA to now play in the NBA. Can Wagner be the next Luka Doncic? Time will tell, we however wont be sitting around wishing we would have invested a few buckaroo's into him.

The NBA's Chicago Bulls are surely kicking their self in the ass right now for not drafting Wagner, while passing on him instead to sign Nikola Vucevic, granted they are trying to move a lot faster to build a contending team, they are only protected in the top four in this years draft as well, still owing another pick to the Orlando Magic.

You can still pick up his rookies pretty cheap, not a whole lot for sale in terms of graded cards right now, but nothing wrong with picking up some raw examples, and then grading with ISA Grading for a fast turn around if you are looking for some quick flips, or to store away and hope his true potential really starts to shine in this upcoming 2022-23 NBA Season.
