NEW HAMBURG, ONTARIO, CANADA – Sports enthusiasts and collectors, get ready for a landmark event! On Saturday, January 25, 2025, Miller & Miller Auctions, Ltd. will hold its inaugural Pre-1980 Sports Cards & Memorabilia Auction, exclusively online. The sale begins closing at 9 a.m. Eastern time and features an impressive collection of 260 rare and highly collectible items.

Auction Highlights​

This debut event offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bid on iconic sports cards and memorabilia, with all transactions conducted in Canadian dollars. Highlights include:

  • 1957 Topps Baseball 407-Card Set
    A complete, high-graded set celebrated for its historical significance and inclusion of more Hall of Fame players than any other set. This set also includes four graded checklists, rare contest cards, and the Lucky Penny Card. Estimated value: $65,000–$75,000.
  • 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle Card (#311)
    Regarded as a "holy grail" in sports card collecting, this PSA-graded 1.5 FR card showcases strong visuals and remains a centerpiece for any serious collection. Estimated value: $30,000–$40,000.
  • 1951 Bowman Partial Set (155 Cards)
    Includes the prized Mickey Mantle rookie card (PSA 4.5 VG-EX+) alongside cards featuring Ted Williams (PSA 6 EX-MT) and Yogi Berra (PSA 5). Estimated value: $20,000–$25,000.
  • 1966 Topps Bobby Orr Rookie Card (#35)
    A PSA-graded 6 EX-MT card of one of hockey's all-time greats. Estimated value: $10,000–$15,000.
  • Lou Gehrig and Babe Ruth Memorabilia
    Highlights include:
    • A Worth Official League baseball signed by Lou Gehrig (circa 1927–1930), complete with full PSA/DNA and JSA authentication. Estimated value: $10,000–$15,000.
    • A Spalding "Babe Ruth Home Run Special" ball dual-signed by Ruth and Gehrig during their Canadian barnstorming tour. Estimated value: $10,000–$15,000.
  • 1986-87 Fleer Michael Jordan Rookie Card (#57)
    A Beckett 8 graded card of the basketball legend, a must-have for Jordan fans. Estimated value: $8,000–$9,000.
