As February 2024 draws to a close, the sports card market is buzzing with anticipation for new releases across baseball, basketball, soccer, Formula 1, and football. Here's a rundown of what's on the docket for collectors in the final weeks of February.

The latter half of February 2024 is shaping up to be a collector's paradise with a host of new sports card releases across various sports. From the year's first batch of baseball cards to the latest in basketball, soccer, and Formula 1, plus a special football series from 2023, there's plenty to get excited about. Although release schedules are subject to change, here are the highlights collectors should mark on their calendars:

February 14 Highlights

  • 2024 Topps Series 1 Baseball: The launch of this flagship series is a highly anticipated event in the baseball card community, offering the first cards of the new season. Maintained by Fanatics, the series continues its tradition with a fresh update for 2024. Fans can look for Jumbo, Hobby, and Blaster boxes on the Fanatics/Topps website.
  • 2022-23 Upper Deck Clear Cut Hockey: This release cleverly combines the '21-22 and '22-23 seasons into a single product due to the previous season's product not hitting the market. Each box promises an autographed card from either season, plus potential redemption cards that come with a bonus Canvas Rookie Debuts card.
  • 2023-24 Panini Prizm Premier League Soccer: Kicking off the same day, this release adds to the diversity of sports card offerings.
February 16 Debuts

  • 2023-24 Panini Court Kings Basketball: Now rescheduled to February 28, this collection is celebrated for its artistic approach to rookie cards and introduces the Debut Showcase Memorabilia insert. Boxes are expected to contain a mix of autos, memorabilia, and various cards.
  • 2023 Topps Chrome F1: Gear up for this release, promising the high-speed excitement of Formula 1 in a dazzling chrome finish.
February 21 Releases

  • 2023 Topps Five Star Baseball: Stepping back into the previous season, this high-end offering contrasts sharply with the flagship brand, focusing solely on autographs, including the possibility of cut signatures and Jumbo Prime Cards.
  • 2023-24 Panini Prizm Basketball: A cornerstone of basketball card collecting, this release boasts Hobby boxes filled with autographs, Prizms, and inserts. New parallel options and a starting price point of $900 for Hobby boxes highlight this year's edition.
February 23 Launches

  • 2023 Panini Impeccable Football: This premium football series delivers a pack of eight cards, with a heavy focus on autographs, including on-card signatures and patch autographs. Look for special Silver and Gold piece cards featuring NFL and Hall of Fame themes.
  • 2023 Leaf Pro Set Metal: Closing out the month's releases, this series offers yet another exciting option for collectors.
With these releases, the end of February 2024 offers a treasure trove of new collectibles for sports card enthusiasts, spanning a wide range of sports and eras.
