For the first time in Topps McDonald’s All-American history, collectors will have the chance to pull LeBron James autographs, making it one of the most anticipated basketball card releases of the year.

James, who played in the 2003 McDonald’s All-American Game, was already a generational talent heading into the NBA Draft, where he was selected No. 1 overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He dominated the showcase, recording 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists, leading the East team to a 122-107 victory. His MVP-winning performance solidified his status as the league’s next superstar, playing alongside future All-Stars Luol Deng and Chris Paul.

LeBron Joins Bronny in the McDonald’s All-American Set

LeBron isn’t the first James to headline the McDonald’s All-American product. In 2023, Bronny James’ autographs were among the most valuable in the set, with prices skyrocketing before he even made his NBA debut. Now, with LeBron’s signature included, demand for this year’s release is expected to be at an all-time high.

What’s Inside the 2024 McDonald’s All-American Set?

Each 2024 Topps McDonald’s All-American hobby box will contain:

  • Three autographs
  • Four refractors
  • One McDonald's Logo Refractor
  • Base cards in 14 different parallels
As one of the few basketball card products focused on high school prospects, the McDonald’s All-American set offers collectors an early look at future NBA stars, much like Bowman does for baseball rookies.

Release Date & Availability

According to Topps’ official X (Twitter) account, the 2024 McDonald’s All-American set is scheduled for release on February 13, 2024.

With LeBron James’ first-ever McDonald’s All-American autographs featured in the product, this set is poised to become a must-have for basketball collectors and investors alike. Expect demand to be high as fans chase one of the most iconic signatures in NBA history.
