Lewis Hamilton, fresh into his first season with Ferrari after 12 years at Mercedes, has signed a multi-year deal with Fanatics Collectibles. The agreement covers a dedicated autograph arrangement with Topps—now part of Fanatics—ensuring Hamilton’s signature, race-worn gear, and specially designed trading cards make their way into collectors’ hands.

Last week, Hamilton helped unveil Fanatics Collectibles’ new London flagship on Regent Street. There, amid cheering fans, he revealed his debut Topps Chrome F1 one-of-one card in a Ferrari suit, emblazoned with “Forza Ferrari.” Only five of the red-parallel versions will ever exist, setting the scene for a frantic hunt among memorabilia enthusiasts.

Topps first secured Formula 1’s trading-card and sticker rights in 2020, riding the Netflix-fueled boom of Drive to Survive and the pandemic-era surge in card collecting. Since then, at least eight Topps F1 cards have crossed the $100,000 mark at auction. Hamilton’s 2020 Chrome Superfractor autograph smashed through $1 million in December 2024, while his non-autographed Superfractor and Sapphire Edition Padparadscha 1/1 have fetched $900,000 and $740,000 respectively.

Chatting with The Athletic before the Miami GP, Hamilton reflected on his lifelong love of swapping stickers and cards. “Every spare penny as a kid went into Premier League sticker packs,” he recalled. “Trading with friends taught me the value of community. Now, knowing these collectibles can support causes I care about makes it all even more special.”

He spoke warmly of meeting collectors at the London store—especially a fan who owned one of his one-of-one cards. “Hearing someone’s story about growing up with F1 and Arsenal reminded me how powerful this hobby is. We’re all on this journey together.”

When asked which mementos he treasures, Hamilton singled out his first yellow go-kart helmet—spray-painted by his dad at B&Q—his debut Monaco Grand Prix trophy, and the very first race suit he ever wore. “Those firsts carry so much meaning,” he said.

Off the track, Hamilton’s passion extends to art and vintage cars. “I love unwinding with a glass of wine and taking in a new piece by rising Black or African artists,” he shared. And for a bit of fun? His oddest autograph gig was signing a tiny pair of Japanese boxer shorts across the backside. “It was bizarre—but that collector was over the moon!”

Looking ahead, Hamilton has his eye on the next generation of drivers to watch: “Kimi Antonelli, Oliver Bearman—and especially Isack Hadjar. His talent and style make his cards a must-have.”
