Baseball card collectors and prospect enthusiasts have an exciting new release to look forward to as Panini prepares to debut its first-ever “Prospect Edition” baseball card set later this month. This highly anticipated release will highlight some of the game’s top rising stars, including Travis Bazzana, Charlie Condon, and Chase Burns.

Prospect Edition Hobby Box Details

Panini’s Prospect Edition hobby box is currently listed as “coming soon” on Panini.com and will include:

  • Six packs per box
  • Eight cards per pack
  • Six autographs per box (on average)
  • 18 parallels per box (on average)
While Panini has yet to confirm the official release date or pricing, a listing on Blowout Cards suggests a February 28 release. Retailers have set single hobby boxes at $150, while full 20-box cases are listed at $3,000. Prices on Panini’s direct site could be slightly lower.

Key Chase: Paul Skenes & Dylan Crews Dual Auto

Although a full checklist has yet to be revealed, preview images confirm that one of the major chase cards in this release will be a dual autograph card featuring Paul Skenes and Dylan Crews, the No. 1 and No. 2 picks from the 2023 MLB Draft. With both players expected to make a big impact at the MLB level, this dual-auto could become a must-have for collectors.

Final Thoughts

As the release date approaches, expect more details, including the full checklist and additional preview images. Collectors looking to secure their Prospect Edition hobby box should stay tuned to Panini’s official website and major retailers before the expected February 28 launch.

With a strong lineup of prospects and exciting autograph opportunities, this set is shaping up to be a top release for prospectors and baseball card enthusiasts alike.
