Reebok and Panini America have teamed up to release a special Emmitt Smith sneaker and sports card collection, featuring designs inspired by Panini's Prizm cards, set to launch globally on June 14, 2024.

On June 10, 2024, in Boston, Reebok and Panini America unveiled their latest collaboration, celebrating football icon Emmitt Smith with a new line of sneakers and sports cards. This marks their second joint venture, merging footwear with trading card culture through Panini's esteemed Prizm card brand. The collection includes the "Preseason '94" and "ES22," Smith's signature model, both inspired by the Prizm series, accompanied by a "Preseason" apparel line priced between $40 and $80.

Emmitt Smith's relationship with Reebok dates back to 1993, when he first endorsed the brand's "Preseason" turf shoes. His signature ES22 model debuted in 1996, showcasing Reebok's innovative design tailored to Smith's dynamic playing style. In 2009, Smith expanded his presence into the sports card realm by joining Panini America, which launched the "Prizm" brand in 2012. Known for its high-quality, glossy designs and rare inserts, Prizm quickly became a cornerstone of modern sports card collecting.

The collaboration features three sneakers that sport unique design elements, such as Prizm logos and nods to notable Prizm card parallels. The collection includes:

  • Preseason '94 Low "Purple Prizm": A low-cut trainer in a purple, white, and black palette, featuring a leather upper and Prizm branding, retailing at $120.
  • Preseason '94 "Gold Prizm": A mid-cut version in metallic gold, priced at $140, with premium features and Prizm card-inspired details.
  • ES22 "Color Blast": Priced at $200, this model showcases a bright white, patent leather design with colorful accents, mirroring the rare "Color Blast" Prizm card effect.
Each purchase of the ES22 "Color Blast" sneakers includes a limited-edition Panini x Reebok Prizm Emmitt Smith trading card. This card collection, available alongside the sneakers, features imagery from Smith's career, with a variety of rare parallels and inserts.

The "Reebok x Panini Prizm Preseason" collection will be available worldwide starting June 14, 2024, through Reebok.com and select retailers, following the success of their initial collaboration in 2022 with basketball legend Allen Iverson.
