Tom Brady isn’t just a football legend anymore — he’s now officially a shop owner in one of New York’s most exclusive communities. The seven-time Super Bowl champ made a surprise appearance Thursday in East Hampton to unveil the latest location of CardVault by Tom Brady, his premium trading card and collectibles store.

Despite the chilly, rainy weather, fans showed up in force, lining the street outside the new shop in anticipation of the opening. Brady didn’t disappoint — tossing footballs and sealed card packs into the crowd, posing for photos, and even taking part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony himself.

“We had a vision to bring the best hobby shop in the country right here to East Hampton,” Brady told the crowd. “This place means a lot to me.”

The store, which sits in a sleek white brick building with Brady’s name on the front, caters to collectors of all levels. Inside, shelves are stocked with everything from Pokémon cards to ultra-rare sports collectibles that can sell for six figures. The back of the shop features a signature vault door that leads to a more exclusive section — complete with autographed memorabilia and a private lounge space for trading and conversation.

Among the first to walk through the doors was New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who joined Brady behind the counter for a few laughs. Also present was Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, highlighting how tightly connected this venture is to the upper tier of the sports and memorabilia world.

Brady's move into the trading card space isn’t just a celebrity cash-in. Earlier this year, he acquired a 50% ownership stake in CardVault, which already has locations in Boston, Foxborough, New Jersey, and Connecticut — many of them situated near major sports venues. This East Hampton store, however, marks a new direction: a lifestyle-driven storefront in a community known more for beach homes and fine dining than sports memorabilia.

“This store is different,” said CardVault co-founder Chris Costa. “It’s not just for the hardcore collector. It’s for anyone who’s ever loved sports or collecting. We wanted to create an environment where someone can walk in and rediscover the excitement of the hobby.”

Costa also emphasized that Brady’s involvement goes well beyond a name on the door. “Tom’s texting, emailing, checking in constantly. He’s hands-on, creative, and cares deeply about what we’re building.”

Inside the shop, visitors can find gear from all over the sports world — including some from Brady’s longtime rivals. “We even stock Eli Manning gear,” Costa joked, referring to the former Giants QB who has a home in the Hamptons and famously beat Brady twice in the Super Bowl.

For Brady, the store isn’t just about sales — it’s about sparking connection. “Collecting brings people together. It’s fun, it’s personal, and it builds community,” he said. “And this town? It’s a perfect place for that.”

As summer kicks off, CardVault by Tom Brady is expected to become a staple stop in the Hamptons — not just for card collectors, but for anyone curious about one of the most passionate corners of sports culture. And with Brady at the helm, it’s clear this isn’t just another celebrity business — it’s a real piece of his next chapter.
