The football from Tom Brady’s last pass as a New England Patriot—a moment etched in NFL history for its unexpected outcome—is now poised to make an impact off the field. The ball, intercepted and returned for a touchdown by Tennessee Titans’ Logan Ryan during the 2020 AFC Wild Card Game, is being auctioned to raise funds for animal welfare.

In the closing seconds of the game, with the Patriots backed up on their own one-yard line, Brady’s pass intended for Mohamed Sanu was tipped and intercepted by Ryan, who ran it back for a touchdown. This play not only sealed the Titans’ victory but also marked the end of Brady’s illustrious 20-year career with the Patriots.

After both players later joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022, Ryan approached Brady with the idea of signing and inscribing the historic football. Brady agreed, adding the inscriptions "Last Pass As A Patriot," "1/4/20," and "Logan Ryan INT." The signed ball quickly gained attention on social media, becoming a notable piece of sports memorabilia.

Beyond their professional careers, both Brady and Ryan have shown a deep commitment to animal welfare. While in Tampa, they and their families volunteered at the Tampa Bay Humane Society, where the Brady family adopted a kitten. Inspired by their shared passion for helping animals, Ryan decided to auction the football through Goldin Auctions, with all proceeds going to the Ryan Animal Rescue Foundation (RARF). Founded by Ryan and his wife, Ashley, RARF provides financial and educational support to animal shelters and rescues, helping to improve the lives of animals in need.

The football, a Wilson "Duke" model, has been photomatched to Brady’s final pass attempt with the Patriots and comes with a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA. Additionally, it includes a Letter of Provenance signed by Logan Ryan, confirming its authenticity and historical significance.

This auction offers collectors and football fans a chance to own a piece of NFL history while supporting a noble cause. The proceeds will directly benefit RARF’s efforts in animal welfare, making this a meaningful opportunity for those looking to give back.

As the auction approaches, anticipation is building for what is sure to be a highly sought-after item. The football represents not only the final chapter of Brady’s time with the Patriots but also the ongoing commitment of athletes like Ryan and Brady to make a positive difference in the world.

Interested bidders can participate through Goldin Auctions, with all funds raised going towards helping animals in need. This unique piece of memorabilia serves as a reminder of the game’s unpredictable nature and the power of giving back.
