I knew that it was going to auction and expected that it would sell for a record amount. The first news article I read post auction though was something like “dig out your cards from your childhood, they could be worth 8 figures!” Awesome way to click bait. Now we will see tons of re prints listed and raw cards from the junk wax era with “psa mint” in the title. I don’t know what is worse, people who genuinely do not know, or collectors who do know and try to take advantage of those who don’t.
