The 2022 National Treasures release featuring one of the most sought out chase cards of the entire set, the 1/1 cut auto Babe Ruth booklet, actually included an autograph of George Brett instead of the Great Bambino himself. This actually proves there is absolutely no more quality control left at Panini as they continue to put out embarrassing mistakes and has us questioning every piece of "game used" material actually ever inserted into a card. If they cannot manage to get the correct cut-auto in a card, how could we ever prove a bat knob was from the athlete?
It will be interesting to see how this play's out, as there is actually no way in hell that Panini can not rectify this situation. One of their top tier products, shouldn't be having simple mistakes like this at all, and no excuse is valid.
This goes on to show us all why sport card exclusivity contracts with leagues should not be a thing, when there is no proper competition, and no need to try and excel or shine above the competition, we end up with crap like this. Ever since it was announced Fanatic's will receive most of the exclusives, it seems Panini is just pumping out as much crap as they can with no QC, before the company gets sent to its doomed death and ends up looking like Leaf.
