The 2025 Panini Patrick Mahomes Autograph Collection is a limited 25-card series that celebrates the quarterback’s most memorable moments from his first eight seasons.
The project is significant not only because it documents Mahomes’ career highlights, but also because it marks his long-awaited return as a Panini autograph signer. The last time Panini released new Mahomes autographs was back in 2020, making this collection a major event for collectors.
A career told in cardboard
Every card in the set is hard-signed and produced in runs of 20 copies or fewer, ensuring scarcity from the very start. Panini is spreading the release across multiple football products throughout 2025, giving collectors reasons to keep chasing as the calendar unfolds.The first three cards have already been announced. The opening release arrives in Panini Origins on August 27 and features Kansas City’s dramatic 32–29 win over the Buffalo Bills in the 2024 AFC Championship Game. Next, Panini Certified on September 26 will carry a card honoring Mahomes’ league-best 41 touchdown passes during his 2022 MVP season. The third confirmed card is scheduled for Panini Absolute, with the focus on his Super Bowl LVII MVP performance, capped off by a game-winning overtime pass with only seconds left on the clock.

With 25 total cards planned, the checklist stretches far beyond these first three. Upcoming releases will showcase Mahomes’ awards, Super Bowl victories, record-breaking performances, and unforgettable plays. Few quarterbacks have built a resume as decorated as Mahomes has by the age of 29, with two league MVPs, three championships, three Super Bowl MVPs, more than 32,000 passing yards, and over 240 touchdown passes already to his name.The final two cards in the series will be made available through Panini Instant. One takes collectors back to the 2017 Rookie Premiere, using the same photo from Mahomes’ iconic Donruss rookie card. The other highlights the famous left-handed throw he pulled off against Denver on Monday Night Football in 2018, one of the signature moments that cemented his reputation as a creative playmaker.
