Bowman just cranked the amp to 11.

2025 Bowman Baseball dropped today, and one of the loudest new additions to the checklist is the Rockstar Rookies insert—a 20-card set that ditches the dugout for the big stage. Featuring top-tier rookies with action-packed photography lit up by the bright lights of a rock concert backdrop, this insert is all about turning rookie hype into a full-blown headliner experience.

Lights, Camera, Launch Angle

The design is pure showtime—players mid-swing or mid-stride, surrounded by spotlights, stage smoke, and concert-style energy. Whether you're a fan of rock-and-roll or just love over-the-top card art, this insert doesn’t whisper. It screams.

Leading the checklist is James Wood, the 22-year-old Nationals outfielder who’s been one of the hottest names in the hobby this season. With 10 home runs already, he’s tied for 4th in the majors and has been a must-chase in everything from Topps Series 1 to now Bowman Rockstar Rookies.

He’s joined by teammate Dylan Crews, another standout from Series 1 whose cards have lit up secondary markets. A dual relic/auto featuring both Nationals stars sold for $2,500 on May 1.

Who Else Is Rocking the Checklist?

  • Jacob Wilson (Athletics) – Batting .341 and already drawing Rookie of the Year buzz
  • Rece Hinds, Brooks Lee, Rhett Lowder, Spencer Schwellenbach – All rising names with buzzworthy performances
  • Luisangel Acuña (Mets) – Speed and power make him one to stash
  • Kumar Rocker (Rangers) – Big expectations, even bigger arm
  • Coby Mayo (Orioles) – Recently called up, great timing for a spotlight
  • Jackson Jobe (Tigers) – 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA and wins in all of his starts
Jobe’s card has seen a bump as he anchors Detroit’s rotation early in the season. He’s well represented in this year’s Bowman release, including this insert, autographs, variations, and more.

Chasing the Encore: Parallels

The Rockstar Rookies insert features several numbered parallels, including:

  • /150
  • /125
  • /50
  • /25
  • /5
  • Superfractor 1/1
Whether you're collecting for the rookies or the rockstar aesthetic, this insert is equal parts music festival and rookie watchlist. 2025 Bowman Baseball just added a little volume to the hobby—and collectors are listening.
