2023-24 O-Pee-Chee Hockey continues to tap into the set building mentality along with a retro vibe appropriate for one of the oldest brands in the industry.
Like recent years, despite a large checklist, collectors shouldn’t be expecting traditional hits like autographs and memorabilia cards. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t chase elements. There are. They’re just in the form of tough inserts and manufactured patches.
The base set is a big one, totalling 600 cards. The first 500 are standard player cards and make up the sheel. The remaining 100 are either Marquee Rookie or All-Stars subset cards that combine to fall one per hobby pack.

Retro Variations also return, delivering a different design for all 600 cards. Standard Retro cards are one per pack while additional hobby-exclusive Black Border (/100) and Printing Plate (1/1) versions are also available.
When it comes to inserts, there isn’t really anything new as far as themes go in 2023-24 O-Pee-Chee Hockey.
OPC Playing cards are pack, giving collectors a chance to build a traditional deck. Number cards are the easiest to pull with face cards, aces and jokers being short prints. Only in hobby packs, they combine to appear four per box.
