2023-24 Panini Prizm Basketball brings back the chrome and color the brand is known for. It also gives collectors the chance at chasing the NBA Wemby rainbow. There’s a lot of continuity in both the content and configurations. Because why would you overhaul one of the most popular sports card brands in the industry?
Standard hobby boxes come with a pair of autographs. They also boast ten inserts and over 20 total Prizms parallels.
Historically, Prizm has one of the most important base sets of the year. When all is said and done, there won’t be a shortage of cards out there, but they’ll still be the Rookie Cards that command the most attention. Unlike National Treasures and other super premium lines, Prizm has the availability and affordability to appeal to large groups of collectors. In that regard, it has become a go-to for modern basketball cards.
Of course, there’s the main colored Prizms parallels that go with it. As usual, different configurations will have different colors and patterns, presenting a challenge particularly for those who go deep collecting specific players. Black Gold, White and Snakeskin are among the hobby exclusives.
Choice has Blue/Yellow/Green, Tiger Stripe, Red (/88), Blue (/49), Cherry Blossom (/20), Green (/8), and Nebula (1/1).
Fast Break, another hobby configuration, has an assortment of exclusives as well that are distinguished by the small circles in the background: Fast Break, Blue Fast Break (/150), Red Fast Break (/100), Purple Fast Break (/75), Pink Fast Break (/50), Bronze Fast Break (/20), and Neon Green Fast Break (/5).
Among the autograph themes available in hobby boxes are Signatures, Rookie Signatures, Franchise Favorites Signatures and Sensational Signatures.
