Product Overview
2023-24 SP Game Used CHL Hockey offers something more hits-based than the earlier flagship-style release. Virtually every pack of the product include either an autograph or memorabilia card with four total in every five-pack hobby box.
The product takes a page from its NHL counterpart. Base versions of Authentic Prospects, which is where the set’s main player cards are found, are numbered to the player’s jersey number. That means a max of 99 copies but most will be significantly lower than that.
Standard parallels include Orange Patterned Foilboard (/499), Teal Patterned Foilboard (/249) and one-of-one Printing Plates. These are also a launching point for some of SPGU’s hits. On the memorabilia side, Jersey cards are 1:2.5 packs while Gold Patches are numbered to 49. For signatures, there are Blue Autographs (1:6 packs), Autograph Variants, and Patch Autographs (/49).
Stardom Awaits is the other theme in 2023-24 SPGU CHL. Print runs for base versions match up with the player’s draft year. Parallels are similar to Authentic Prospects but available in smaller numbers with Orange having 99 copies and Teal having only 49. Patch (/49), Blue Autographs (1:25 packs), Auto Jersey (/25) and Auto Patch (/5) versions for select cards round things out.
