2023-24 Topps Chrome Sapphire Basketball is an upgrade to the season’s original Topps Chrome set. The checklist has been streamlined but the configuration takes a more premium approach thanks in large part due to its limited print runs.

Hobby boxes include one autograph.

The Sapphire base set has the same 190-card base set as Topps Chrome. Rookies and vets are joined by some stars from the past. The big difference here is the appearance of the cards. The layout and photos are just like Topps Chrome but there’s a blue overlay along with a shard background pattern.

Parallels come in five levels:

Topps Chrome Autographs add a signature element to the base set. Among the 100 signers is Victor Wembanyama. The Rookie of the Year is a Fanatics exclusive and has not signed any NBA cards for Panini.

More ink is available in 1972 Topps Autographs and Certified Rookie Autographs.

The 2023-24 Topps Chrome Sapphire Basketball has two other insert sets, both of which are exclusive to this release. First up is Sapphire Selections, which has 20 cards. They’re joined by 10 Infinite cards.
