2023-24 Topps NBL Basketball cards are further proof of the game’s international appeal. Focusing on the Australian league, it’s not as big or complex as a lot of modern NBA releases but it does fill a niche void and offers cards to players who might not otherwise make hobby appearances.
Collectors will find lots of inserts and parallels in every hobby box. In fact, most packs will have a pair of such cards.
The 100-card base set is a modest one. But with only 10 teams to cover, there’s not a lot of room to get much bigger.
Hobby packs have 10 different parallels:
Every hobby box should have cards from four different insert sets: Coast to Coast (1:5 packs), 1971 Topps Basketball (1:6 packs), Big City Ballers (1:6 packs), and Down Under (1:8 packs). These all have Opal, Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/5) and Sun Ray (1/1) parallels.
The 2023-24 Topps NBL checklist has a pair of scarce short print inserts as well with NBL All-NBL (1:288 packs) and Next Stars (1:325 packs).
NBL Autographs are also randomly inserted, although they’re not guaranteed in every box.
