2023-24 Upper Deck The Cup Hockey once again closes another year in hockey cards with one of the industry’s most anticipated releases from any sport. Highlighted by prime rookie cards from the NHL’s top first-year players and plenty of hits from current stars and retired greats, The Cup delivers a high-end experience that will leave collectors hungry for the chase.

Hobby boxes include multiple signatures, including at least one rookie autograph patch card.

While the hits will be the focus for many collectors, Upper Deck The Cup Hockey has a numbered base set of 200 cards. The first half focuses on veterans and young stars, while the last 100 cards are all Rookie Patch Autographs. Every base card is numbered to /249.

Beginning this year, Upper Deck has encased every RPA from the set in a special plastic case that collectors can use to see how the cards appeared as originally produced by the company.

Collectors will certainly be chasing base set parallels, which feature autographs and prime pieces of memorabilia, including patches, laundry tags, and buttons. The coveted 1/1 Black Foil NHL Shield parallel also returns.

Exquisite Collection and Splendor cards are back for another year.

Exquisite rookie cards are numbered corresponding to a player’s jersey number, and those cards feature several parallels, including /25 Horizontal RPAs (with 1/1 Gold parallels) and 1/1 NHL Shield RPAs.

Exquisite Black cards feature /25 Autographs, /5 Black Gold Autographs, and 1/1 Platinum Blue Autographs, and the checklist includes rookies, veterans, and legends.
