2023 Fleer Ultra Wolverine trading cards take Marvel’s rugged mutant hero and makes him the focal point of a new art-based release. Like other Fleer Ultra Marvel releases, this one has plenty of premium elements throughout the checklist.
All 100 cards in the base set use original artwork made specifically for the release. It’s a character-driven checklist highlighting not only the Canadian X-man but his many friends and foes he’s encountered on his journey. A handful of levels of parallels are also available including Printing Plates.
Top Secret inserts open up to reveal mini versions of base cards.
Some familiar names and designs are among the other chase cards.
Jambalaya ranks among the biggest. Twenty cards make up this set, which comes with long odds.
eX Century is another theme that goes back to the ’90s. Like the original releases, there are Essential Credential Now and Essential Credential Future parallels.
Medallions draw their inspiration from the Gold Medallion parallels found in various 1996 Ultra sets. Versions for these include Gold, Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue, Emerald Green and one-of-a-kind Opal Black.
Ultra Stars is another retro-tinged insert. These have Gold parallels.
