2023 Panini Contenders Football is a ticket to autographs, especially for those hunting down rookie ink. The longstanding brand returns familiar mix of ticket-themed cards and lots of autographs. Hobby boxes have five signed cards including at least one that is on-card. Inserts and parallels also combine to fall 10 per box.
The checklist jumps right into Contenders’ trademark ticket takes with the base set. Veterans are featured on Season Ticket cards with a mix of parallels that lean further into ticket types with things like Playoff and Super Bowl.
Rookie Ticket Autographs are also part of the base set. These have been Contenders’ cornerstone for decades. Over time, these are historically recognized among the key cards for football rookies. Many of the top signers are among the Rookie Ticket RPS cards that come with on-card autographs.
Cracked Ice and die-cut Ticket Stub parallels are among the possibilities with these.
While first-year players are on a lot of the product’s autographs, veterans and retired stars are also available in sets like NFL Ink and Legendary Contenders Autographs.
Standard inserts include Crown Jewels, Supernatural and Superstar Die-Cuts.
Retail packs have exclusive parallels for Draft Class Contenders, Game Ticket, Historic Draft Class Contenders, Rookie Stallions and Round Numbers. In standard retail boxes, it’s Gold while blasters have Blue.
