Colorful. Wild. Nostalgic. Extreme. All could be used to describe 2023 Panini Zenith Football, a product that embraces the past while charting a more modern path. One of those areas is the hobby configuration. Boxes have just six cards, two of which feature autographs.
Since Panini revived the Zenith brand in 2020, the base set has been one of the bolder ones as far as graphics go. That visual flair continues once again with stadium lights putting the spotlight on veterans. For rookies, it’s a different with color gradients, distinct lines and headlines acting as the dominant features.
Artist Proof, a staple of the ’90s when Zenith began, are among the parallels here.
Of the two autographs in each hobby box, one also has at least one patch piece to go with it. Rookie Patch Autographs are among the chases here. Base versions have no more than 299 copies each. Additional versions take a single swatch and expand it to as many as five.

Contenders Optic Preview cards are exclusive to hobby. Both Rookie and Veteran Ticket Autographs are available.
As for the other inserts in 2023 Zenith Football, there are returning names that date back to the 1990s and Pinnacle Brands.
Epix is one such set. Exclusive to hobby, there are several different combinations here. For starters, they come in Game, Play and Season styles. From there, additional Orange, Purple and Emerald colors are added to the mix.
