2023 Pro Set Metal Football mixes retro stars and designs with prospects and several fresh looks. Although driven by autograph, it’s not entirely signature forward. Collectors can chase a base set as well as a similar set of throwbacks.

2023 Pro Set Metal Football Checklist Overview
Before delving into the signatures, 2023 Pro Set Metal Football does have a main set. Consisting of nearly 100 cards, it’s in chromium. Not only does this offer the usual shine, but the opportunity for lots of parallels as well. There are more than 50 of them total, split between varying color combinations with Crystal, Mojo, Wave and Pulsar backgrounds.
Silver Prismatic cards, which act as the base version, have 25 copies. All parallels for the main set are numbered to 9 or fewer.
The checklist itself is predominantly prospects and rookies, however collectors will find a solid mix of veterans and legends as well. This is something that runs throughout the product.
Joining the base set are similar Retro inserts. Ninety-nine cards make up the checklist here. Parallels and print runs are the same.
Autographs
One of the autographs in every 2023 Pro Set Metal Football hobby box is a buyback. These are original cards from the company’s past that have since been signed. They come with a foil stamp that acts as an authenticity marker of sorts.
Outside of these, Pro Set Autographs make up the largest portion of the signatures. Over 50 signers from various generations are present with more than 50 parallels.
Other themes with large rainbows include Campus VIP, Goin’ Pro and Pro Set Platinum, which may evoke some additional nostalgia for some longtime collectors.
