Product Overview

2023 Topps Luminaries Baseball doesn’t waste much time. One card per box. Everything’s an autograph. Sure, there are some varieties in the themes and presentation, but that’s pretty much it. Like past years, hitters, home run mashers and pitchers get the central focus. Young players also get a significant section of the checklist. All cards in Luminaries continue to be numbered to 15 or under. The vast majority of cards on the 2023 Topps Luminaries Baseball checklist fall under four general categories: For the first three there are a mix of current and retired players. Spark of Light is where the game’s youth comes into play. All four themes have autographs, all of which come with on-card ink. Base versions are numbered to 15 with additional Red (/10), Blue (/5), Purple (/3) and Black (1/1) parallels. Spark of Light are limited to Purple (/3) and Gold (1/1). Masters of the Mound and Home Run Kings both have Autograph Relics (/15) that mix hard signatures and game-used swatches. Red (/10), Blue (/5), Purple (/3) and Black (1/1) versions are also available. Moving up a notch are Home Run Kings and Hit Kings Autograph Patches (/15). Black (1/1) are the only parallels for both. New this year are Leather Autographs. Available for both Kings and the Masters themes, the signature on these are done on pieces of baseballs used in a game the player appeared in. These are tough, though, with only one copy each.
