2023 Topps Transcendent Baseball keeps a lot of the same elements as past years like loads of autographs, multiple one-of-ones in every box and, of course, an invitation to a special VIP event. That said, the configuration is undergoing some big changes.
As far as cards go, signatures remain at the heart of Transcendent. Each box starts with 20 Gold Framed Autographs. Base versions are numbered to 20 with additional Blue (/10), Emerald (/5), Platinum (1/1), Red (1/1) and Rose Gold (1/1) parallels also available.
This is down significantly from the 50 framed autographs just last year. But Topps isn’t cutting back entirely. It’s more of a shift into more areas.
New for 2023 are Rookie Showcase Autographs and Rookie Showcase Patch Autographs. A total of 10 of these are in every box. Rookie Showcase Autographs have 20 copies each as well as the same parallels as the framed autographs. The patch autographs come numbered to 10 with Blue (/10), Emerald (/5), Platinum (1/1), Red (1/1) and Rose Gold (1/1) as well.
Standard Autograph Patch cards get the bulk treatment in 2023 Topps Transcendent Baseball as well with 10 per box. Boasting oversized pieces of gear, these have 15 copies. Parallels line up the same as Rookie Showcase Patch Autographs.
Transcendent Autograph Relic book cards (/5) flip open to showcase a jumbo swatch and hard signature. These have one-of-one Platinum parallels.
Cut Signature Relic books (1/1) and MLB Logo Patch Autographs (1/1) are also randomly inserted.
From here, things shift into the variety of one-of-one autographs in every box.
