2024-25 Panini Haunted Hoops puts the Halloween twist back on the NBA Hoops base set, and the second edition of the product has some extra incentives for collectors. After taking in strong reviews last fall, Panini has added more parallels, including three numbered options, and an extended checklist for the set’s reprisal. At its core, Haunted Hoops is intended as a different option to hand out to trick-or-treaters around Halloween. Instead of candy that will quickly disappear, Haunted Hoops gives youngsters who may not have ever had exposure to trading cards an entry to hobby. But, the set will also be a target of experienced collectors looking to complete sets and parallel collections. There are 300 cards in the set – 280 cards featuring veterans and rookies and 20 cards in the Tribute subset. Each pack includes three cards from the 2024-25 Hoops set, and one of those cards will be an exclusive parallel that draws on a Halloween theme. Boxes have 40 packs. Last year, Panini included four parallels, and none of them were numbered. This year, there are six parallel options, and half of them are new numbered concepts. Another new feature of this year’s set is an extended checklist, which includes 25 prospects, including players selected in the 2025 NBA Draft.
