Rookie Redemptions also return, delivering somewhat mysterious IOUs for the year’s top early-season debuts. Hobby boxes promise three total hits, which could be autographs, memorabilia cards or other premium inserts. The base set structure doesn’t change much from recent years. Including the Rookie Redemptions, it’s 250 total cards although it’s the first 200 that are live in packs. These break down into a handful of thematic subsets that break players up. The first 100 are regular cards and can be considered common as far as rarity goes. The remaining 100 cards are all serial numbered: All 200 cards have similar parallels: On top of these, most cards also have base autographs and various combinations of numbered memorabilia versions.
