2024-25 Upper Deck CHL Hockey takes a look at the sport’s future. It’s a big checklist as far as player selection goes but there aren’t a lot of bells and whistles to go along with it. Sure, there are some. It’s a modern release and chase elements are there. But a lot like the minor league hockey it’s based on, it’s a product that will find appeal from those looking for simpler times. Hobby boxes come with a dozen packs, each with 16 cards. Among the box contents is either an autograph or Outburst parallels. 2024-25 Upper Deck CHL Hockey Checklist Overview The full base set totals 400 cards. The first 300 make up the main shell set. One hundred Stars and Star Rookies round things out. These are short prints, landing one per pack. All 400 cards have three levels of parallels: Exclusives (/100), High Gloss (/10) and Printing Plates (1/1). Some plates come with signatures, some don’t. The Stars and Star Rookie subsets have additional Outburst (1:24 packs), Outburst Red (/25) and Outburst Gold (1/1) versions. Green parallels are only in blasters and average out to about one per seven-pack box. Like Outburst, these are only for the final 100 cards. Base Autographs land 1:48 packs for select players among the first 100 on the checklist. Stars and Star Rookie Autographs fall at similar odds. The 2024-25 Upper Deck CHL checklist has four additional insert sets, three of which are new. That’s a Rocket (1:6 packs) is all about goal scorers. Prominent Combos cards (1:6 packs) have two standout players from the same team. In the Lab (1:4 packs) is another place to find CHL stars. CHL First Draft (1:9 packs) is the lone returning insert theme. These cards highlight some of the top players taken in the OHL, WHL and QMJHL drafts, the three leagues that make up the larger CHL. All four insert sets have the same mix of Red (/125), Blue (/25) and Black (1/1) parallels.
