2024-25 Upper Deck Extended Series Hockey is the third and final release under the company’s flagship banner. Updated players, an expanded roster of inserts and, of course, more Young Guns make up the checklist.

Collectors will find plenty of variety in every hobby box with a breakdown that should make for multiple inserts or parallels in every pack.

The base set expands Series 1 and Series 2 by another 250 cards. This brings the full 2024-25 Upper Deck Hockey checklist up to 750 total cards. The first 200 spots are reserved for veterans, some of whom are on new teams. The remaining 50 cards are a mix of Young Guns and 1st Round Rookies. These are short prints that land every other pack.

Parallels include:

Some insert sets from Series 1 and Series 2 carry over as well. This includes more UD Canvas cards, which are four per hobby box. Besides standard cards, there are Young Guns, Legends and NHL All-Stars subsets. UD Canvas has Black and White and Printing Plates parallels.

Dazzlers continues also. Hobby packs have Blue (1:12 packs) and Pink (1:72 packs) versions as well as one-of-one Printing Plates. Blaster packs have Dazzlers Green (1:4 packs).

Oracles (1:8 packs) makes its debut, drawing inspiration from tarot cards. Adding to the challenge of this set are SP (1:30 packs), SSP (1:45 packs) and Rare (1:180 packs) cards.

Like other recent Extended Series releases, many of the other inserts draw from Upper Deck’s past portfolio, repurposing brands that might not have full releases now. These include Pros and Prospects (1:4 packs), Beehive (1:5 packs), UD3 (1:5 packs, Gold – /333), Upper Deck Encore (1:5 packs), and Trilogy Rookie Premiere (Common – /999, Uncommon – /499, Rare – /99).
