2024-25 O-Pee-Chee Platinum Hockey is a mix of the old and new schools. The foundation is one of the hobby’s most historic brands, which also gets an annual throwback-style set. Here, everything gets a modern chrome spin, opening things up for parallel rainbows, autographs and flashy inserts. Hobby boxes come with a mix of all three with one signature and at least one insert and parallel per pack. The base set consists of 300 total cards — 200 veterans and 100 first-year Marquee Rookies. This is one of the few sets of the hockey card season where rookies aren’t short prints. While this might not make them overly valuable, they are easily accessible. Parallels take on both colors and patterns. Some go with more photographic backgrounds. Parallels include: Retro makes the jump over from 2024-25 O-Pee-Chee Hockey, albeit with a condensed 100-card checklist. These have Rainbow (1:12 packs), new Blue Luster (/100), Houndstooth (/15) and Golden Treasures (1/1) versions. There are also Red Autographs (Veterans – 1:192 packs, Rookies – 1:384 packs).
