Another trading card year in hockey comes to a close with 2024-25 Upper Deck The Cup, the premier hockey product that collectors look forward to every season.

From old favorites to exciting new concepts, Upper Deck The Cup delivers a six-card high-end experience in every box that includes hit after hit – with a coveted Rookie Patch Auto among them.

2024-25 Upper Deck The Cup Hockey Checklist Overview

While the big hits are what collectors crave, The Cup does start out with a base set. Numbered to /249, the checklist includes big-name stars and leading rookies.

Low-numbered parallels to the base set include autographs, memorabilia cards and autographed memorabilia cards.

The Cup originally served as a spin-off to Upper Deck’s Exquisite Collection from other sports, but just because The Cup has a different name doesn’t mean the Exquisite Collection has gone away.

Once again, Exquisite Collection makes an appearance in the product, with regular inserts (/99) and Black Gold Autographs (/25). Black parallels have a variety of numbering, and the 1/1 Black Gold Autographs return.

Rookie Patch Autos also continue in the Exquisite segment – including 1/1 NHL Shield versions.

Splendor Patches (/36) are back, including Autographed versions (/36) and Rookie Auto versions (/36).

Some other returning favorites include Color Coded (/35), Cup Foundations Quads (Veterans – /49, Rookies – /99), Emblems of Endorsement (/15), Enshrinements (Varied numbered), Limited Logos (/50), Logomarks (1:10 packs), Materialisticks (/25 and /15 Autos), Noble Nameplates (Varied numbering) and Renditions Relics (1:12).

Upper Deck has also given collectors several new concepts to chase.

Elegant Etchings starts as an insert (/199) but also has autographed versions inserted 1:9 packs. These cards feature an artistic rendering of players.

Another well-designed insert (/50) turned autograph set (/25) is Lavish. Featuring current stars, rookies, and all-time greats, the cards utilize black-and-white photography for a simple design that stands out in a product so often defined by colorful patches.

Patron Patches (Varied numbered) feature oversized prime memorabilia pieces in a classic horizontal design that fits right in with the rest of The Cup. Autographed versions are also available.

The rarest among new sets are the Autographed Monumental Puck Booklets (1/1). Game-used and game-dated pucks are signed and embedded into these booklets, creating an elegant showpiece.
