College football standouts get the sparkle treatment with 2024 Bowman Chrome Sapphire University Football. The alternate version to the main Bowman Chrome U release has some of the same content but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t any exclusives beyond the base set. The 200-card base set is the same as the parent set. It’s all current collegiate players on cards blessed by the NCAA. That means full logos and uniforms. So what makes Sapphire different? For starters, there’s the blue that’s traditional for all Sapphire releases from Topps. There’s also the shards running through the background, similar to Panini’s Cracked Ice cards. More than 125 players have autographs as well. Sapphire Selections and Treasured Talent are the lone standard insert sets in the product. Both are exclusive to this release and aren’t in standard Bowman Chrome. Some Sapphire Selections cards also get the signature treatment.
