2024 Bowman Draft Baseball delivers the first MLB cards of many of the year’s top picks. Although not an official Series 3, that’s basically what this is when put alongside the earlier 2024 Bowman and 2024 Bowman Chrome Baseball releases. Here, the checklist includes elements from both lines including base cards, inserts and, of course, Chrome Prospect Autographs. Boxes are available in two main hobby configurations. Standard hobby boxes deliver three autographs while jumbo boxes have five (an average of one per 120-card pack). Packs have base cards for both Bowman and Bowman Chrome. Each has the same 200-card checklist with players from the 2024 MLB Draft being the main draw. Eight of the top 10 picks are in the product, including first overall selection Travis Bazzana. All 2024 picks appear on their first baseball cards in the MLB uniforms. Charlie Condon (third overall) and JJ Wetherholt (eighth overall) are the only top 10 picks not in 2024 Bowman Draft Baseball. All base cards have lots of parallels including a full Refractor rainbow for Chrome. Variations are available in four styles. First are standard Image Variations that change out the photos for 10 players. It’s a similar theme for Chrome College Variations, although with the more specific school theme. Etched in Glass and Prospects Special Edition Die-Cut Variations change up the design in significant ways. Highlighting the product’s chase elements are Chrome Prospect Autographs. These remain a baseball cornerstone, using on-card signatures and the same general design as the main set. Refractors are also available for these. Other standalone signature sets include Draft Prospect Portrait Autographs, Dual Autographs, Class of 2024 Autographs and a new batch of Under Armour Game Autographs.
