2024 Leaf Metal Pop Century takes an everything-goes approach with its checklist. Actors, singers, athletes, athletes turned actors — collectors will never know what could pop up. The one guarantee? This year, the product is shifting back to being all autographs.
With a wide variety of signers, the checklist takes an eclectic approach to themes as well.
For starters, there are Base Autographs. These act as both a foundation for the product as a whole as well as a catch all as far as subjects go.
From there, things divide up into more thematic sets where signers are grouped based on what they’re most famous for, such as roles or movie and TV genres. These include Hero Graphics, Horror Ink and, new for 2024, Fuggetaboutit, which highlights actors from gangster films and shows.
Teen Dream, Starlet, Retro TV and ticket-inspired Now Showing are among Pop Century’s other single-signed signature sets.
This year collectors can look for inscriptions with things like character names or famous lines alongside their autograph. Scripted is one such place to find these.
As has been the case since Pop Century began more than a decade ago, multi-signature cards are also on the checklist. Co-Stars has as many as six different autographs. There’s also Dream Cast.
Every 10-box case has a Leaf Pearl card. While these bypass the chromium stock, these have an ultra high-end build including booklet autographs.
