2024 Panini Three and Two Baseball uses a configuration-based name. Hobby boxes have three base cards or inserts plus two total autographs and memorabilia cards. Three and two. It’s an offshoot that started with Panini One Football, which has just one card per box — an autograph and has evolved into other sports. While the signatures and swatches might get a lot of the attention, the checklist also includes some other elements and angles that make it somewhat distinct to other high-end Panini baseball products. The central base set has 100 cards. Like Panini’s other baseball releases from the past couple of years, the vast majority of cards are retired greats and prospects (entering the season). The odd veteran makes their way onto the checklist but they’re definitely not the focus as the card maker no longer has an MLBPA license. Cards are numbered to just 99 with nine levels of additional parallels: All autographs and memorabilia cards come already encased in a holder for some added protection. Prospect Jersey Autographs are the most plentiful signatures on the checklist with no more than 99 copies each. All other autograph themes are numbered to 32 or less. Retired stars are available in Legendary Signatures, Spotlight Spikes Signatures, Hall of Fame Signature Swatches and Timeless Moments Signatures, which connect directly to a specific play or achievement. Day One Autographs are all about young players.
