X marks the spot once again if you’re looking for a more condensed version of Allen & Ginter. 2024 Topps Allen & Ginter X Baseball delivers not only a smaller checklist but a different look over the previously released main version. An online-exclusive release, hobby boxes deliver one autograph. The base set has 350 cards — just like the main Allen & Ginter set. This includes 50 short prints at the end of the checklist that combine to land every other pack. But the cards themselves aren’t exactly the same. The calling card of X is the switch from a white design to something black. This makes the set both easy to spot and rather striking. Parallels are limited to Mini, Red Mini and Silver Mini. One hundred cards also have Chrome and Chrome Mini versions. Framed Mini Autographs have a lot of overlap from the regular A & G release. Like the base set, cards here are black with additional Black Frame and Silver Frame Gold Ink parallels. The list of signers is a deep one. It starts with more than 150 baseball players covering several decades. There are also over 50 non-baseball signers that range from athletes in other sports to actors and singers.
