In a modern hobby often driven by colors and rainbows, 2024 Topps Black and White Baseball takes steps in the opposite direction. Focusing on the specific style of photography, like Stadium Club, images are the central focus.

Hobby boxes come with nine packs and promise one autograph. Each pack delivers two total inserts and parallels making for some added variety as well.

The main base set has 100 cards consisting of rookies, star veterans and some notable names from the past. Living up to its name, these are presented in black and white, including logos. Design elements are minimal so attention goes immediately to the image.

That’s not to say the 2024 Topps Black and White Baseball checklist doesn’t have some color. The modern hobby pretty much dictates that all products now have parallels. Here, there are seven:

Ten Hall of Famers round out the base set with Topps Vault Short Prints. These do not get the parallel treatment.

Twenty cards have Short Print Image Variations while 10 have Super Short Print Image Variations. If spotting and memorizing photos isn’t your thing, the card numbers on these are different with “SP” and “SSP” added.

Half of the set has autographs, which use the base design and stickers for the signatures. Parallels are similar for these.

Golden Hour inserts look similar to base cards except with their gold backgrounds. Among the tougher inserts on the 2024 Topps Black and White Baseball checklist, they’re also serial numbered to 50 copies.
